Instructions
Preheat oven to 175C and line a loaf tin with greaseproof paper.
Cream butter and 200g sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs.
Sift in flour, 2 tsp cinnamon, and baking powder.
Grate 3 apples and mix into batter.
Transfer batter to tin and tap to remove air bubbles.
Slice remaining apples, arrange on top, and sprinkle with extra cinnamon and sugar.
Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
This teacake is best served warm or at room temperature.
