Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole milk very cold
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream very cold
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Oreos coarsely chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a cold bowl, whisk together milk and sugar until dissolved. Stir in heavy cream and vanilla.
  • Pour mixture into ice cream maker's freezer bowl and churn for about 20 minutes.
  • Add chopped Oreos and churn for an additional 5-10 minutes until thick and creamy.
  • Transfer ice cream to a freezable container, cover airtight, and freeze for about 2 hours to firm up.

Notes

This recipe yields approximately 1.5-2 quarts of ice cream. For best results, chill the mixing bowl and whisk before preparing. Chop cookies ahead of time and store in an airtight zipper bag.
